And So They Were

It is impossible not to feel like a mega-dork in the presence of a Fashion Great. A couple weeks ago, I attended quite the posh affair at LACMA, a book signing and birthday party for the book release of Hedi Slimane's Anthologie of a Decade. Simply put, it is a collection of his photographic works of the last 10 years, across 4 countries. While he is best known for his slim silhouette of men's fashion for House of Dior and YSL, my favorite bit of trivia is that his designs were the catalyst for Karl Lagerfeld to lose weight so that he could wear Slimane's creations. Love the dedication to fashion. The book is well-designed and comes complete with slipcover. I even got my copies signed by the artist himself. These are true collectors' pieces and if you can still get your hands on a copy of this limited run, do it!
