Love, YSL
During his prosperous career as an icon of fashion and style, Yves Saint Laurent still managed to draw and create an ongoing series of cards and posters all based on "Love", a theme he carried throughout all his work. We love that someone with all his achievments and successes had the insatiable need to create in all realms of art and design. These rare images were made for friends and family at the holidays. Awhile back, they were reproduced as stamps and postcards by the French postal system. And then there's Moujik. YSL had 3 frenchies throughout his life, Moujik I, II and III. A fun bit of trivia, Moujik II was painted by Warhol, the only dog that Warhol ever made a portrait of. YSL took these painting and incorporated them into one of the Love Series posters.
